The Missoula area rivers are spiking at the moment from those sunny warm days we just had. One would think that this is the beginning of run off but if you look at the forecast, they say it will cool back down starting today with pretty cold temps at night. This could create one more window of really good fishing within the week before the big push of water. There are currently still a few options around Missoula though if you are willing to battle the wind. The upper reaches of Rock Creek have not seen much of an increase yet. The MO is always a good option. She is steady at around 4000 cfs. Or you could avoid the wind by staying home and tying up salmonflies as they will show up next…..
