Missoula Fishing Report

Missoula River Conditions

We’ve seen an increase in river flows from yesterdays rain but still plenty of fishy options out there….

Bitterroot River Fishing Report:

Flows bumped yesterday but have crested and are on the drop.  This river still remains a viable option this week.  Skwalas, a few Baetis, and fish looking up for dry flies.  What more could you want?

Clark Fork River Fishing Report:

She’s still on the rise.. Yesterday the dry fly fishing was consistent on the Clark Fork despite the fact that the river was rapidly increasing in flow beneath us.  A single skwala dry was the bug of choice.  A riskier play at this point as the flows are still increasing.

Blackfoot River Fishing Report:

Flows have peaked and the river is dropping.  Haven’t been up there yet this year.  It could be a sneaky option.  Or you could freeze your butt off and regret trying to be sneaky…

We have a little rain/snow in the forecast this week and highs in the 50’s.  As long as the forecasted rain doesn’t amount to much we should continue to have good dry fly fishing in the days to come.
