Hometown: Helena, MT.

When did you begin your guiding career: In 2008, I moved to Missoula to attend the University of Montana where I began instructing and guiding. I became a full-time guide in 2011 after graduating.

Favorite river around Missoula: The Clark Fork.

Favorite way to target trout: I love head hunting with small dry flies and swinging flies with a two hander.

Why guide out of Missoula: Missoula is arguably the most diverse area to trout fish in the lower 48 states. We have something for everyone and our natural trout populations and freestone waters are healthy.

How do you spend your off season: In the fall, I head to Washington state where I run a steelhead lodge and operation. My season there ends around Thanksgiving time and I spend the winter skiing, swinging for steelhead, drinking good wine, and adventuring with my partner, Rick Davidson.

I am a proud Elite G Loomis Ambassador, OPST Ambassador, Costa Ambassador, a Montanans For Healthy Rivers Ambassador, and Umpqua Pro.

In 2020, I helped cofound the Guide Relief Program (501C3) and serve as Director of Outreach and Guide Services.
